Kent Reliance | Residential investment procurement update

kent reliance for intermediaries logoWe’ve appointed VAS Panel Manager (VAS) as our specialist valuation panel manager for residential investment properties. This means that we’re changing the way we instruct valuations for these cases.

From 1 April 2025, you’ll have seen an increase in panel firms able to undertake valuations.

Product lines in scope:

  1. Large HMOs and student lets of 7 to 10 rooms. This includes bedsit configurations
  2. Multi-unit freehold blocks of 7 to 10 self-contained units
  3. HMOs in Article 4 areas with 5 to 6 lettable rooms
  4. Adapted HMOs of 5 to 6 lettable rooms, where all or most rooms benefit from ensuites and/or kitchenettes. This may include bedsit configurations
  5. Multiple houses on a single freehold

The process for instructing long-form valuations outside of the above criteria hasn’t changed.

We’ve prepared FAQs with some additional information on how VAS works. We encourage you to read through them to allow for a seamless transition.
