Advisers who wish to advise clients on Residential mortgages including Residential Second Charges, Residential Bridging and regulated BTL products (Family BTL and Consumer BTL) as well as Equity Release mortgages will need to obtain CAS status as part of our Training & Competence (T&C) Scheme.
Following attendance of the ‘Residential Regulated Mortgage Training’ with you will receive ‘Permissions’ to advise on your Scope of Permission Certificate. However, to begin with you are under ‘Direct Supervision’ until you have been assessed as Competent. Once assessed competent your T&C (Training & Competency) stage will be moved to ‘Ongoing Supervision’.
**Direct Supervision means all cases must be Compliance approved before formal recommendation to the client**
