Got a client with a non-traditional property? While most lenders are hesitant to accept this, we’re happy to take a look.

At Mercantile Trust, we accept all construction types — including all varieties of concrete, steel-frame, and timber-frame.

If the property’s noted as non-traditional, that’s fine — as long as it’s suitable for the area, we’ll usually consider it.

If a valuation flags the construction as defective, we just need to see that it’s been repaired under a licensed Precast Reinforced Concrete Homes repair scheme (please note, Leeds 1 and 2 schemes aren’t accepted) and that a completion certificate is available.
