We’ve rolled out a major expansion of our Foreign National criteria across the entire BTL range. That means more flexibility, more clarity, and more ways to place your complex cases with confidence.
What’s New?
- Mixed status applicants now accepted
If one applicant has an indefinite right to live/work in the UK and the other holds an approved non‑permanent visa and has been in the UK for 12+ months, you can now submit under the standard policy.
- Foreign Nationals without ILR are now eligible
Applicants with an approved visa type can now access our full BTL offering, even without Indefinite Leave to Remain.
- UK residency requirement cut in half
We’ve also reduced the requirement for the length of time a landlord must have been living in the UK without interruption from 24 months to 12 months, opening the door for more recently settled borrowers.
These changes build on the improvements we introduced for Residential Foreign National borrowers last year, and we’re pleased to extend this level of support to BTL customers.
