As you all know, we review the CPD totals regularly throughout the year to try and help you stay on on track to avoid an end-of-year dash. The good news this year is that the overall totals for CPD points to date are far ahead of last year! This is great, as this means that many of you are staying on top of it.
We are now over halfway through the year, so it’s worth looking at the required end-of-year totals:
Regulated Mortgage advisers must do 25 hours (1,500 points) Mortgage CPD
Unregulated Mortgage advisers must do 10 hours (600 points) Mortgage CPD.
For Insurance, all must do 15 hours (900 points) Insurance CPD.
End of July the totals required to be on track
Regulated Mortgage advisers should be on 875 CPD points
Unregulated Mortgage advisers should be on 350 CPD points
For Insurance, all should be on 525 points
The above totals are the required totals, so feel free to do more! Our current leader for the year sits on nearly 8000 points!
Ways to give your CPD a boost!
For those that are a little behind (or those that want more), hear are some areas on LMS that will help:
Just last week we added the recent “BTL Mastery” series – this contains videos from some recent sessions that we ran that contains 395 CPD points and can be found HERE
We’ve seen an increase in the number of business loan enquiries in recent months – if you want to know more about these, be able to advise on them and earn 90 CPD points at the same time then the course is available HERE
For those that need Insurance points, the recent “Protection Matters” series of webinars can be found HERE. These contains a series of videos full of tips and ideas that and will give you over 400 CPD points in total.
There is an additional course on Buildings and Contents insurance with a focus on landlords cover and more difficult properties provided by Uinsure that can be found HERE and contains 360 points.
In addition to record any meetings or other CPD you have done already, we have tried to make the process easier for you to record in LMS HERE which could be anything from exam study, through placing particular cases, meetings such as Kick-Off the week and conferences attended or specialist reading on any industry topics from consumer duty to new lender criteria.
If you think you are struggling to find suitable material to complete your CPD please contact the member support team who will be able to advise you of some of the sources and material available.
