An expat landlord based in Singapore was looking to refinance a mixed-use property to release equity for

another purchase. The property consisted of a ground floor retail unit with two residential flats above.

Some lenders had declined the case due to one of the residential units operating as an HMO—something not all lenders are willing to accept.
